民主是现代社会的基本价值,对社会进步有巨大的推动作用。在重视民主的经济价值与政治价值的同时,民主的道德价值也不可忽视。本文认为,民主促进经济发展,提供制度保障,规范社会秩序,保护公民权利,维护和平局面。这些都是道德存在与进步的基础。因而民主具有巨大的道德价值。
Democracy is the basic value of modern society and has a huge impetus to social progress. While valuing the economic value and political value of democracy, the moral value of democracy should not be neglected. This paper argues that democracy promotes economic development, provides system security, standardizes social order, protects civil rights, and maintains peace. These are the basis for the existence and progress of morality. Thus democracy has great moral value.
