悬空寺,在2010年被美国《时代》杂志评选为世界十大最奇险建筑之一。来到北岳恒山脚下的金龙峡,还没入山门,就见到远远高悬于山壁上奇险无比的悬空寺,感觉非常不真实,好像那只是剪贴上去的纸雕作品般。如此一座融合儒、释、道三家于一体的庙宇,选址之险、建筑之奇、结构之巧,只能用目瞪口呆来形容。悬空寺据说是北魏了然和尚所建,距今已有1400多年历史。这座悬于危崖间、下临山谷深渊的木质框架式寺庙,全寺无一钉一铆,以插入横梁于山壁内为基,借岩石之力托提,梁柱和廊栏上下
