Unfortunately, closed-loop cryogenic chillers still have a “weak link” reputation in infrared systems to both users and manufacturers. When the chiller needs to be serviced at intervals of up to hundreds of hours, the quality of its servosystem is forced to be reduced. This article discusses the progress of the technology in Stirling cycle refrigerators, which will increasingly make the impression that military refrigerators are getting better. The focus of this article is on a series of split cycle chillers designed to achieve long mean time between failure (MTBF) at the final stages of development. According to the U.S.-developed Stirling cycle refrigeration satellite system with multi-year mean time between failure (MTF) and the UA7011 refrigerator developed in the Netherlands (the first fully automated refrigerating machine for military products), the technical evolution of the above refrigerator was made Description. This article discusses three new refrigerators. Two Stirling chillers with 80K1 / 4W and 1W (usually cold) with linear resonant floating ejectors and a minimum MTBF of 2,500 hours are being evaluated.
