In this study, tests have been completed on the reduction of bilayer pellets consisting of a core and an iron ore shell of a mixture of iron ore and non-coking coal. The reduction test is carried out at an isothermal temperature in the range of 1000 to 1200 ° C. The parameters studied were the reduction temperature, the carbon / iron oxide ratio and the reduction time. The experiments were statistically designed, so the role of each parameter and the interaction of different parameters can be quantitatively analyzed. The results show that the reduction temperature has the strongest effect on the reduction degree, followed by the reduction time and the carbon / iron oxide ratio.
