肖小球系膜细胞(MC)及其胞外基质(ECM)、细胞因子在肾小球疾病的发生发展中有重要作用。MC研究需关注种属差异,MC培养有助于研究糖尿病、脂质性肾小球肾炎的病理过程。ECM主要由MC等分泌。ECM随肾内细胞增殖而增殖,多种类型肾炎发展与此有关。细胞因子PDGF、TGF、IL-1、IL-6、TNFx及活性物质如内皮素、Ang、植物凝集素、TSP等对MC有重要影响,这在病理情况下更具意义。
