姜黄素能够诱导包括白血病、肝癌、卵巢癌、胃癌等多种肿瘤细胞的凋亡,并可获得很好的效果,其诱导肿瘤细胞凋亡的途径可能是通过影响细胞生长周期、相关凋亡基因、Caspase蛋白表达、细胞端粒酶活性等方式来实现的。姜黄素作为姜黄的主要活性成分,具有来源广泛、价格低、不良反应小等优点,其抗癌效果备受关注。虽然姜黄素诱导肿瘤细胞凋亡是一个比较复杂的生物学过程,但是在生物医药科技高度发达的今天,将姜黄素等中药制剂用于临床癌症的治疗,不仅会为癌症的治疗提供新的手段,而且也会为包括姜黄素在内的许多中药的开发提供新的途径。
