Leptocorisa acuta Thunberg is one of the most important pests in rice growing season in southern rice growing region of China. To do a good job of predicting and controlling this pest is an urgent need of agricultural production. However, to correctly estimate the number of field populations, you must first decide on the exact field sampling method and sample size. However, understanding the distribution pattern of the taxa in rice is a prerequisite for doing a good job of these tasks. The field distribution patterns and their practical application of the rice stem borer, corn borer, rice brown planthopper, rice leafroller larvae, cotton lace bug, cotton bollworm and migratory locust have been reported in China. However, This information has not been seen yet. In 1981, the authors combined field population density survey to determine the distribution pattern of the female of the great-legged bugs. In the meantime, several commonly used random sampling methods and sample numbers were compared and analyzed.
