门宦是典型的结合社会文化特质的宗教制度。中外学者均重视对中国伊斯兰门宦制度的研究。本文试以民族学方法来厘清对于门宦制度的研究意义与内涵，展现出门宦制度在历史发展与社会文化适应中的特质以及具体风貌。认为在宗教民族学建构下中国伊斯兰门宦制度今后的研究方向，应从历史文献学的溯源研究与历史现象的解释、宗教学对苏非主义教理与相关伊斯兰教义内涵的诠释、民族学对教权体系运作和社会文化变迁现象的归纳与分析三方面进行研究 Menhuan is a typical religious system combining social and cultural characteristics.
