The same is true of the study of the aesthetic history of the performance of new Chinese movies, but also in a fragmented and even spontaneous state of research. It is mostly in the study of the basic historical materials of a film performance and the case studies of film performances, lacking in aesthetics, theorization and systematization. The research significance of this topic is to fill and perfect the weak links in the field of new Chinese film studies and to enrich the integrity and rationality of the study on the history of new Chinese movies from the perspective of performing arts.
