作为张文佑教授主编的《中国及邻区海陆大地构造图》的一部分,我们编写了中国及邻区中、新生代盆地图及说明书.本文就是该成果的一部分.一中、新生代以来亚洲大陆和西太平洋的地壳演化进入了崭新阶段.在这一地史时期内地壳和岩石圈的厚度、大陆型和海洋型地壳的分布均发生了重大变化,且伴以强烈的岩浆活动,并形成了一系列的沉积盆地.后者不仅在地球表面有广泛分布,而且贮藏着丰富的能源、盐类及其它资源,因此很多地质工作者对其演化特征进行过深入地研究.不少中外学者对沉积盆地进行过卓有成效的研究,从不同角度予以分类.我们认为:盆地形成的时代和岩相组合固然可以作为分类的标志,但发育的大地构造背景、地壳性质、盆地形成的方式和结构等具有更为重要的影响.同时,在一定的地壳演化阶段可产生具有特定构造性质的盆地组合,而地壳的演化与海陆分布又有一定的
