作为20世纪人类历史最重要的内容之一，帝国主义殖民体系的崩溃和第三世界的兴起历来受到国内史学界的关注，并提出了许多看法。但是以往的研究大多站在殖民地人民民族解放斗争的角度进行分析，忽视了对构成殖民地问题的另一方面即殖民帝国方面的考察，因而得出的结论尽管是正确的，却很难说是全面的。本文从西欧殖民帝国的角度重新审视殖民体系崩溃问题，目的在于对这一历史作出完整的解释。
As one of the most important contents of human history in the 20th century, the collapse of the imperialist colonial system and the rise of the third world have always been the focus of the domestic historians and put forward many views. However, most of the previous studies have been conducted in the perspective of the struggle for national liberation by the colonial peoples and neglected to examine the colonial empire, which constitutes the other aspect of the colonial issue. The conclusions drawn, though correct, are hard to say comprehensive . This article re-examines the collapse of the colonial system from the perspective of the colonial empire of Western Europe with the aim of giving a complete explanation of the history.
