以经济建设为中心，大力发展生产力，这是社会主义的本质要求，也是马克思主义的客观要求。但是，就在这个理论与实践的双重要求上，长期以来，我们却屡犯错误，屡遭挫折，只是在党的十一届三中全会上，我党的工作中心才历史性地实现了转移。这是一次伟大的、正确的、历史性的转折。它不仅使我党的政治路线重新回到了以经济建设为中心的正确轨道，使我国的经济建设在短短的２０年里取得了举世瞩目的成就，而且丰富和发展了马克思主义关于社会主义建设的理论和思想
Taking economic construction as the center and vigorously developing productive forces are the essential requirements of socialism as well as the objective requirements of Marxism. However, on this double request of theory and practice, we have repeatedly made mistakes and setbacks for a long time.
