从单味中药抗淋球菌的实验结果中，提示黄连有较强的抑制淋球菌效果。中药复方的实验研究结果，也提示黄连解毒汤等也有类似的作用，在上述实验的基础上，我们选用浓缩的黄连粉剂加TMP（5：1）组成沙林胶囊，并进行该胶囊抗淋病荣氏菌的实验研究及初步临床观察，现总结报导如下
From the experimental results of a single Chinese herb against Neisseria gonorrhoeae, it was suggested that Rhizoma Coptidis has a strong inhibitory effect on Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The results of the experimental study of traditional Chinese medicine compound prescriptions also suggest that Huanglian Jiedu Decoction and others also have similar effects. Based on the above experiments, we used concentrated Coptis powder plus TMP (5:1) to form Shalin capsule and conduct the capsule anti-gonococcal disease. The experimental study and preliminary clinical observation of the bacteria are summarized as follows
