汉英双语者对英语多义词的心理表征遵循从核心表征向独立表征发展的规律,在词汇学习初期,核心表征阶段记忆只储存一个核心语义,而学习后期独立表征阶段记忆独立储存多个语义。所以,在英语多义词词汇教学中应该根据这种词汇表征发展规律,先让学习者掌握核心语义,再继续教授其他语义,并且在教学的过程需借助母语翻译并增加语义信息来提高教学效率。
Chinese and English bilinguals’ psychological representation of English polysemous words follows the law from the core representation to the independent representation development. In the early stage of vocabulary learning, only one core semantic is stored in the core characterization phase memory, and multiple semantics are independently stored in the independent characterization phase later in learning vocabulary. Therefore, in the teaching of polysemous words in English, we should express the law of development on the basis of such terms, let the learners grasp the core semantics and continue to teach other semantics. In the process of teaching, we should improve the teaching efficiency by using mother tongue translation and semantic information.
