A new type of digital-analog mixed-signal programmable system-on-chip is the core of this design, and programmable analog resources, digital resources, mixed-signal resources and MCU in PSoC are used with only a few simple RC components to achieve a high-resolution sine signal source. The approach has a very low cost and high degree of flexibility. This design can be embedded in various test and measurement equipment, or can be part of other high-frequency generators. The possible extension and design limitations are discussed as well.
