Evapotranspiration ratios of six main types of forests (regions) in the Pearl River Delta were studied. The six types of forest types included eucalyptus forest, fruit tree forest, coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, shrub forest, coniferous forest, mixed forest and broad-leaved mixed forest. At the same time, the physical mechanism based on the Priestley-Taylor extended model is analyzed and inferred. It is found that the evapotranspiration ability over a large area can be evaluated by the ground temperature values calculated by MODIS and TM thermal infrared data, combined with the clear sky data from 2008 to 2009 Calculation. The results showed that there was no significant effect on the evapotranspiration of the six types of forest (region) in the Pearl River Delta. Eucalyptus forest was not the one with the highest water consumption.
