[Objective] To analyze the influence of manganese exposure on the serum immunoglobulin and sex hormones of workers in welders. [Methods] In October 2016, 96 male welders of a civil defense engineering company were selected as the welder group and 96 male non-welders were selected as the control group. Serum immunoglobulin IgA, IgM, IgG levels were detected by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry to detect urinary manganese levels in two groups of patients. The levels of LH, FSH, ), Estradiol (E2) and prolactin (PRL), and the results were analyzed. [Results] The level of urinary manganese in welder group was (1.59 ± 0.67) μg / L, which was higher than that in control group (0.45 ± 0.08) μg / L, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01). The level of IgG, T and P in the welder group was lower than that in the control group, and the level of FSH was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05 or 0.01). There was a negative correlation between IgA and T level in welder group (r = -0.271, P <0.05), IgM and E2, urine manganese, urine manganese and FSH and PRL (r = 0.209,0.220,0.487,0.250, P < 0.01). [Conclusion] Welding operations increase the chances of manganese exposure, which may reduce the worker’s immunity and affect the endocrine system.
