At the end of September, Henan Mianchi Senior High School held a general meeting of high school students, setting special requirements for student honesty examination. One of them was “It is strictly forbidden to bring communication tools such as mobile phones to the examination room.” However, some students turned a deaf ear to the examination room and handed over 34 mobile phones for the first monthly exams. To serve as a warning, after the exam was over, the school destroyed the phone that was carried in violation of discipline on the spot with the participation of students and parents. Comments: At a time when people’s awareness of the right is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, the school’s practice of collectively destroying students’ mobile phones can be described as a ripple. Legally speaking, mobile phones are students ’private goods. As an educational institution that does not have administrative enforcement power, schools simply do not have the power to arbitrarily dispose of others’ property. From a moral point of view, this practice of “killing chickens for the monkey” even conceals the banner of “integrity education” and conceals the essence of violence in education.
