黄溥是民国时期华中地区公认的中学教育权威,曾两度赴美研修教育学,担任中学校长十年。他借鉴美国先进的教育理念,提出了富有独创性的“七部课程”理论。他认为,中学生生活的需要与中学教育的目的可分为七项:健康、基本知识、良好的德性、职业、公民训练、家庭职分、正当的娱乐,因此中学的课程应分为七部:健康部、文艺部、德育部、职业部、公民部、家政部和娱乐部。其理论体现了“以学生为中心”的教育理念,矫正了“以学科为中心”、“教育与生活相脱离”、“学校与社会相隔绝”的流弊。
Huang Pu was recognized as a middle school education authority in Central China in the Republic of China, and twice went to the United States to study pedagogy as a secondary school principal for ten years. Drawing on the advanced educational concepts in the United States, he proposed a rich and original theory of “seven courses.” In his view, the needs of middle school students and the purpose of secondary education can be divided into seven categories: health, basic knowledge, good virtue, professionalism, civic training, family functions and proper entertainment. Therefore, the curriculum of secondary schools should be divided into seven : Department of Health, Arts Department, Department of Moral Education, Vocational, Civil, Home Economics and Entertainment Department. The theory embodies the educational philosophy of “taking students as the center ”, and rectifies the disadvantages of “subject-oriented ”, “separation of education from life ” and “separation of schools from society ”.
