In order to explore the clinical characteristics of cerebrovascular disease combined with gout and the relationship between the two, retrospective survey of 150 cases of gout patients, blood uric acid, renal function, blood glucose, blood lipids and cranial CT or cranial MRI and other tests found gout complicated with brain 15 cases of vascular disease, gout incidence of stroke was 10%. Of the 15 patients, 14 were male and 1 was female, with an average age of 6.3 years old, all of whom were from coastal areas. 9 cases of cerebral infarction, 4 cases of transient ischemic attack, 2 cases of cerebral hemorrhage and 4 cases of multiple stroke. In previous history, 8 had hypertension, 5 had heart disease, 3 had diabetes and 3 had hyperlipidemia, of which 4 were accompanied by hypertension and heart disease or diabetes. That stroke associated with gout in older men in coastal areas are more common, ischemic. And often accompanied by hypertension, heart disease, diabetes and hyperlipidemia and other medical history. Stroke is associated with an episode of acute gout. Gout may be one of the major risk factors for cerebrovascular disease in coastal areas
