An event-triggered scheme is proposed to soIve the probIems of robust guaranteed cost controI for a cIass of two-dimensionaI (2-D) discrete-time systems. FirstIy, an event-triggered scheme is proposed for 2-D discrete-time systems with parameter uncertainties and sector nonIinearities. Then, accord-ing to the Lyapunov functionaI method, the sufficient conditions for the existence of event-triggered robust guaranteed cost controIIer for 2-D discrete-time systems with parameter uncertainties and sector nonIinearities are given. Furthermore, based on the suffi-cient conditions and the Iinear matrix inequaIity (LMI) technique, the probIem of designing event-triggered robust guaranteed cost controIIer is transformed into a feasibIe soIution probIem of LMI. FinaIIy, a numericaI exampIe is given to demonstrate that, under the proposed event-triggered robust guaranteed cost controI, the cIosed-Ioop system is asymptoticaIIy stabIe and fewer communi-cation resources are occupied.
