(Howmany hairs do we have on our head?);知识性(What is the sun made of? Howhot is it?When will it die?);百科性(Will Niagara Falls disappear?)及实用性(what color car is the safest?) Why do cats like catnip?
After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it has published “The One Hundred Thousand Why” that produced a sensational effect. Today, the staff of the Carnegie Library Science and Technology Department in Pittsburgh, USA, can receive 100,000 “why” each year. The library is “well-equipped,” with a collection of more than 390,000 books, more than 420,000 copies of periodicals, and thousands of government reports. They answered these “why” quickly and accurately. There are 20 selected here. They are “How are you suny of? Howhot is it? When will it die?”; Will Niagara Falls disappear? and practicability ( What color car is the safest?) in one. It is worth mentioning that some problems themselves make readers feel fresh. Such as: Why do cats like catnip?
