乾隆(1711-1799)是大家所熟悉的清朝皇帝,姓爱新觉罗,名弘历,满族人,是继顺治、康熙、雍正之后的第四代皇帝。在位60年,大兴土木,亲自参与热河“避暑山庄”的组建规划,全国修庙建寺之风盛行,对我国古建园林的发展起了一定的推动作用。弘历好大喜功,曾经南巡五次,西巡三次,东巡一次,所到之处,必作诗纪胜,御书刻石,“乾隆御碑”于风景名胜区随处可见,对促使“北碑”的兴起和发展亦起到了倡导作用。 Emperor Qianlong (1711-1799) is a familiar emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
