1992年11月4～6日,由国家海洋局主持召开的“92特大风暴潮监测、预报座谈会”在京举行。参加会议的有国家科委、全国防汛抗旱总指挥部、中国国际减灾十年委员会、水利部、中办机要局、国家地震局地质研究所、沿海有关省、市海洋管理部门（局、处、办）、国家海洋环境预报中心及国家海洋局所属有关单位的45名专家和代表。国家海洋局管理监测司鹿守本司长到会讲了话。 会上有关专家对1992年8月28日到9月2日,发生在我国东部沿海的特大风暴潮做了专题分析报告,各省市海洋部门的代表做了这次特大风暴潮对本省市影响的报告。与会代表一致认为召开这次会议是十分必要和及时的,它对总结海洋灾害监测、预报警报经验和进一步做好防潮减灾工作具有极其重要的意义。
