1937年7月7日,卢沟桥畔的狼烟,点燃起中华民族抗日救亡的烽火。这座举世瞩目的桥梁,记下日本帝国主义侵略中国的罪恶史实。60多年以来,这座桥不仅成为炎黄子孙勿忘国耻的爱国主义教育基地,而且成为日甚一日的中外人士向往的旅游胜地。卢沟桥地处京西要冲,横跨永定河(原名无定河),是古代南北陆路出入京师唯一的孔道。由于它给商旅交通提供极大方便,故亦名“广利桥”。
On July 7, 1937, the beacon of smoke on the banks of the Lugou Bridge ignited the flames of the Chinese nation’s war of resistance against Japan. This bridge attracting worldwide attention marks the evils of Japanese imperialists in aggression against China. For more than 60 years, this bridge has not only become a patriotic education base for the unremitting sacrifices of the Chinese people, but has also become a tourist destination day after day. Lugou bridge is located in the west of Beijing to red, across the Yongding River (formerly Wuding River), is the ancient North and South Road access to the only Confucian channel. Because of its great convenience to business travel, it is also known as “Guangli Bridge ”.
