The piriformis syndrome refers to a clinical syndrome of the piriform muscle due to acute or chronic injury, with local aceptic inflammation,muscular spasm, congestion and swelling of the piriformis. It may cause pain in the buttocks, even the severe lancinating pain with a bing sensation radiating to the lower limb and the patient may have lameness or can not walk. For the treatment, the centro-square needling plus cupping was adopted. The results were satisfactory as reported in the following.
