Under the traditional Chinese cornices, there are four eye-catching characters: . Small arch, about three high. On style, can not be compared with the monuments in Beijing and Xi’an; on the value of art, said that it is unjust, but absolutely not carved. However, the arch is very famous, foreign tourists, tourists to San Francisco, if not a visit, there must be “vain one line” regret. The overseas Chinese in the United States, and especially the Chinese in San Francisco, not only regard it as the dividing line between China Town and the Great American World, but also regard it as a spiritual totem.
