In the past 30 years, several studies have elucidated the significance of post-exercise hypotension for the diagnosis and prognosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). In CMD patients, exercise-induced hypotension, especially associated with angina, indicates a severe and widespread CAD. Reduced systolic blood pressure during exercise in patients with CAD is considered due to extensive myocardial ischemia.
