War is a continuation of politics, as is the “football war” that broke out between the two countries of Central America, El Salvador and Honduras, in July 1969. Although ostensibly the fuse of this war is just a few FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the essence is the war between the two countries in order to shift the grave domestic crisis. In the air contest of this war, all the protagonists who played the leading role in World War II were F-51, Mustang, F4U and Pirates. The second generation of jet fighters on the east and the west in the battlefield of Vietnam are now playing fiercely. However, the two countries have had to use the piston fighter of two or three decades ago. Many of them were purchased from aviation enthusiasts . Even so, the use of these “classic machines” in actual combat is worth the descendants’ careful aftertaste and research. The lessons learned in many wars thus obtained are even more precious.
