宁夏农垦系统沿贺兰山东麓各农场去冬今春采用大苗截杆机械钻孔深栽新技术造林7,061亩。其中:黄羊滩农场2,800亩;平吉堡奶牛场1,600亩;贺兰山农牧场2461.5亩;农垦科研所200亩。据目前生长情况来看,成活率一般在85—95%以上,生长旺盛,长势喜人。杨树大苗截杆机械钻孔深栽(以下简称大苗深栽)新技术是由意大利引进我国的。1981—1982年在北京、内蒙赤峰市和雁北地区进行的小规模试验表明,大苗深栽显示了明显的抗旱能力和较强的适应性。这项技术于1982年9月通过了小试鉴定,并由中国林业科学院林业研究所和河北林专主持组成了北京、内蒙、河北、宁夏等七省市区杨树深栽
