The Bachu fault is located in the western segment of the Central Uplift in the Tarim Basin and experienced the evolution history of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic uplift and thrust reversal of the Mesozoic pull-off faulting. In the early Paleozoic, the Bachu area was located in the southern wing of the cratonic depression. In the late Paleozoic, the western segment was an NW-trending low-lying segment, and the eastern segment was still part of the Awati depression. Mesozoic destructive embryos formed; East West low, North High South low front block uplift, the main structural inversion period of the Tertiary. The development of Bachu fault was greatly influenced by the subsidence of the two north and south sags, which was mainly attributed to shear extrusion caused by plate collision and strike-slip faulting.
