抗日战争时期，五台山僧人在中国共产党抗日民族统一战线的感召下，成立救亡组织，参加武装斗争，保护抗日干部，购买救国公债，并为抗日武装提供食宿，传递情报。为中华民族的抗日战争做出了积极贡献，成为全国宗教界抗战的旗帜。在今天社会主义现代化建设中，人们仍可从中获得一些颇为有益的历史启示。
During the period of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Wutai Shan monks, inspired by the Chinese Communist Party’s anti-Japanese national united front, set up national salvation organizations, took part in armed struggle, protected the anti-Japanese cadres, purchased the national bonds of salvation, and provided accommodation and intelligence for the anti-Japanese armed forces. Made positive contributions to the anti-Japanese war of the Chinese nation and became the banner of the war of resistance in the religious circles throughout the country. In today’s socialist modernization, people can still get some very useful historical revelations.
