清代大量学人参与戏曲创作,使得清代戏曲的创作主体呈现了学人化倾向。清代戏曲与元明戏曲相比,具有比较浓厚的学术化特点,表现在戏曲的经学化和经学戏曲化,以考证为戏曲,以学问为戏曲,和戏曲形式的复古化、格律化。由学人创作的戏曲或具有学术化倾向的戏曲,可以称之为“学人之曲”。“学人之曲”在一定程度上提高了戏曲的学术品格和社会地位,推尊了曲体,但也造成戏曲生命力的衰落,导致清代中期“雅部衰落,花部兴起”的局面。
