1993年全市共发生火灾1418起,死73人,伤128人,烧毁烧损房屋建筑面积5.4万余平方米,以及生产设备、原料、商品和生活用品等财物,直接经济损失折款2252.4万余元,因火灾造成停工、停产、停业和善后处理的间接经济损失5607.6万余元。与1992年相比,火灾次数下降17.7％,死亡人数上升82.5％,受伤人数上升124.6％,直接经济损失下降17.9％。 全年公安消防队赴现场参加扑救的火灾765起,投入消防车辆1988辆次,指战员22185人次,抢救出受灾人员86人,保护国家、集体和个人财产达29217万余元。
