Citrus cultivars such as lemon, sweet orange, grapefruit and broad-leaved orange were treated with different quality irrigation water on different rootstocks. The content of Cl in the juice and the content of Cl in leaves were determined, and there was a clear correlation between them. In assessing the salt tolerance of different rootstocks and cultivation techniques affecting the tree’s absorption of Cl, it has been demonstrated that the analysis of the Cl content of the juice is a good measure
