对于非英语专业的学生而言,具备一定的翻译能力是大学英语教学大纲中的硬性要求。然而,英语中大量的长难句常常给非英语专业的学生在理解和翻译上造成巨大的障碍。因此,培养非英语专业学生理解和翻译长难句的能力成为大学英语教学的难点。本文从英汉语言结构对比的角度出发,试图将奈达的核心句理论应用于长难句的分析和翻译之中,从而为提高大学英语翻译教学的效率和质量提供借鉴。
For non-English majors, having a certain degree of translation ability is a mandatory requirement in college English syllabus. However, the large number of long sentences in English often creates a huge obstacle for non-English majors in understanding and translating. Therefore, cultivating non-English majors’ ability to understand and translate long sentences becomes a difficult point in college English teaching. This article attempts to apply Nida ’s core sentence theory to the analysis and translation of long sentences from the perspective of the contrast of English and Chinese language structures, so as to provide reference for improving the efficiency and quality of college English translation teaching.
