Preface In the study of the geologic characteristics and genesis of the carbon-silicon mudstone-type uranium deposit in a certain area, the physicochemical environment for the formation of uranium ore in the deposit was studied emphatically, and the main conditions for the formation of uraninite in the laboratory were simulated. From our research, we can see that as early as in the 1940s, scientific research institutes set up under the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) had already done synthetic experiments on uranium bitumen. In the late 1950s, the Soviet Union published articles on synthetic bitumen uranium .
