北京铁路局科研所的科技人员和丰台机务段的技术人员、老工人一起研究,采用“锁接法和粘结法”修复了裂损柴油机机体二台、报废缸头170个,经装车运行试验效果良好。丰台机务段,过去是一个蒸汽机车机务段。随着我国牵引动力改革的发展,从1973年起开始向内燃化过渡。现在已将所担当的干线、小运转及调车机车全部改换成内燃机车。几年前由法国进口的几十台ND4型内燃机车也使用了8年多,每台机车都已走行了120多万公里。这些机车从1979年在扩大架修过程中,陆续发现柴油机机体和缸头有多处裂损,有的机体主轴承座转角处有毛细裂纹达16处。经过检查的40台机体当中,有裂损的就有35台。裂纹深度有的从5毫米发展到33毫米,裂纹长度从95毫米至150毫米。这是铁路安全运输的一大
