纽约市老魏斯伯里饭店于1 999年被改造成公寓楼。这座1 927年建成的传奇大厦曾是名流显贵经常出入的地方。改造过程中,开放商定制了四万块墙面砖,力求和原来外墙上新文艺复兴风格的墙砖纹理相同,色调一致。而每间公寓内部,在保留格子天花板、纷繁的顶饰等典型战后建筑细节的基础上,配备了各种现代化便利。白爵飞为住在此处的一对夫妇量身打造了属于他们的艺术之居,他重燃各种文化视点碰撞的神奇火花,创造出一幅真正的国际大都会风情画。
The Old Wellsbury Hotel in New York City was converted into an apartment building in 1999. The legendary mansion built in 1927 was once frequented by celebrities and dignitaries. In the process of renovation, 40,000 brick wall makers were appointed by the developers, seeking the same texture as the neo-Renaissance wall tiles on the original façade. The interior of each apartment is equipped with all the modern conveniences on the basis of the typical post-war architectural details, such as the trellises and the numerous finishes.
