China is one of the first countries to invent timers in the world. The history of clocks has a long history. As early as 2000 years ago, timekeeping instruments such as Tu Gu, Sundial, and Hourglass were emerging. The ancestors of wisdom use “Tu-kyu” to measure the distance of the sun from the ground, determine the length of the sun, and use “sundial” to determine the designated hour or scale of the sun. “Hourgler ” is based on pot of water, the use of water equalization drip method, observe the pot “engraved arrow ” to time. Moreover, the astronomical clocks in the Tang Dynasty, the observatories in the Song Dynasty and the Ming dynasty in the Yuan Dynasty all represented scientific and technological achievements in different historical periods in ancient China. The early 16th century, the rise of the Western Industrial Revolution, Europeans invented modern mechanical watches and clocks across the sea
