一年来,我们对部分地质队和矿山的钎头情况进行了调查。发现施工现场多使用质量低劣的五十年代的苏式“一”字形钎头,加上用手锤砸打的原始方法装拆钎头以及采用不合理的修磨制度,致使钎头几乎百分之百地提前报废。有的单位,钎头第一次修磨后即告报废。严重的,在一个掘进循环中就报废了16个新钎头。这就引起了凿岩成本的增高,硬质合金的浪费并造成钎头供应的紧张。因此,尽快研制出新式钎头并改进现有不合理的修磨制度,是非常必要的。
