新日本钢铁有限公司在东邦钛有限公司的配合下,研制出强度与延展性平衡的优质合金高强度钛“TIX系列”。通常,纯钛具有良好的耐蚀性,但作为强度材料使用却受到限制。而钛合金由于加入了铝、钒、钼、锆等成分,有价格高及难加工等种种制约。而今,该公司研制成功的“TIX系列”合金,使用价格便宜的氧、氮、铁等作为添加元素。如经过适当的处理,则具有以往的材料所没有的特性,是既有纯钛特性,又有钛合金特性的全新材料。该系列各项主要特性如下: 1、耐蚀性不亚于纯钛; 2、抗拉强度高达784.8~882.9MPa,介于以往纯钛与钛合金之间; 3、屈服比大于0.85(屈服比=屈服强度/抗拉强度);
