A: In the formation of phosphorus ternary heteropolyacid, arsenic (V) is also involved in the reaction of phosphorus determination caused serious interference. It has been suggested that the selective reduction of arsenic (V) to trivalent sodium thiosulfate can easily eliminate its interference [1]. However, in the determination of phosphorus in steel sometimes there is still the phenomenon of high results. Recently it has been reported [2] using ascorbic acid and sodium thiosulfate mixed solution as a masking
