《三言》中与水、水神、水妖有关的故事为数不少,基本上是围绕长江、鄱阳湖、赣江、抚河、信江、饶河、修河以及钱塘江等水系及其毗连地区为故事发生地,尤以古代江右地区为最突出,《旌阳宫铁树镇妖》是为江右水神文化的典型篇章。然而迄今为止,关于《三言》中的水神、水妖故事的研究,仅见日本学者铃木阳一对《白娘子永镇雷峰塔》中水神故事的论述。本文从文学形象入手,通过对《三言》中水的神格两重性及水神、水妖等神的人格化进行梳理,分析了古代江右多元信仰和民间风习之关系,在此基础上,进一步探讨其文化史、社会学意义。
