关于宋词的基本风格,前人多分为婉约与豪放两大类。苏轼于熙宁八年(一○七五)作《江城子·密州出猎》时,在《与鲜于子骏书》里,就有意与当时以柳永为代表的传统婉约词风相区别,树起了“自是一家”的豪放大旗。苏轼形容自己这种新词风的特点是:“令东州壮士抵掌顿足而歌之,吹笛击鼓以为节,颇壮观也。” 据俞文豹《吹剑续录》载:“东坡在玉堂日,有幕士善歌,因问:‘我词何如耆卿?’对曰;‘郎中词,只好十七八女子,执红牙板,歌杨柳岸晓风残月;学士词,须关西大汉,绰铁板,唱大江东去.’为之绝倒。”这一颇具风趣的评论,鲜明而准确地道出了苏、柳词
