本文叙述测定磁盘机中空气支承动态特性的一种新方法。由于组成空气支承的磁头/磁盘之间的间隙很小(0.1μm至1μm),过去所采用的测试方法或者需要贵重的设备,或者得改变磁头或磁盘的本来结构。作者所采用的方法则将磁头本身所具有的读/写线圈也用作为头/盘间隙变化的传感器,这是根据磁学的 Wallance 公式发展起来的。即磁头读出信号的幅值将被间隙的变化调制,对这种 AM 信号的解调所得的信号就代表了这种间隙的变化。本文除简要地叙述这种测量方法原理外,还介绍了实验装置及实验结果,证明了这种测试方法具有简单易行、频响特性高、精度高等明显优点。
This article describes a new method for determining the dynamic characteristics of air bearings in disk drives. Since the gap between heads / disks that make up the air bearing is small (0.1 μm to 1 μm), the test methods used in the past either require expensive equipment or have to change the original structure of the head or disk. The approach adopted by the authors is to use the read / write coil of the head itself as a sensor for head / disk gap variations, which is based on the magnetic Wallance formula. That is, the amplitude of the signal read by the head will be modulated by the change of the gap. The demodulated signal of this AM signal represents the change of this gap. In addition to a brief description of the principle of this measurement method, this article also introduces the experimental device and experimental results to prove that this test method has the obvious advantages of simple and easy to operate, high frequency response characteristics, high accuracy and so on.
