In 1981, the work meeting of director of steel mill of key enterprises of Ministry of Metallurgy was held in Ma’anshan City from April 5 to April 11, with more than 30 participating units representing 69 people. The meeting summed up and exchanged work experience, discussed the 81-year work schedule. During the meeting, 48 factories submitted materials and 18 reports were given at the conference. In addition to exchanging management experience and new technology to increase output and quality, more attention was given to testing, metering and automation.
