埃及著名盲人作家、被誉为阿拉伯文学之柱的塔哈·侯赛因逝世已经20周年了。1926年,他出版《论蒙昧时期诗歌》一书。近70年来,围绕该书的争论一直未曾间断。1915年,塔哈·侯赛因赴索尔本大学深造。回国后任埃及大学文学院阿拉伯文学教授。他在《论蒙昧时期诗歌》中提出,归于蒙昧时期(伊斯兰前期)诗人的诗歌多为伪托。诗中反映内容与当时政治、思想及社会、经济、宗教生活均不吻合。结论是:大部分蒙昧时期诗歌不可能产生在伊斯兰教之前。蒙昧时期诗歌是有文字记载下来的最早的阿拉伯诗歌,其地位有如中国文学开篇之《诗经》,历来
The twentieth anniversary of the death of Taha Hussein, a well-known blind writer in Egypt and a pillar of Arabic literature, was passed away.
