在临床观察中发现热证病人的交感神经——肾上腺系统机能活动增强,寒证病人则相反。在动物实验中,用寒凉药长期喂大鼠也可出现交感神经——肾上腺系统机能降低现象,而用温热药喂大鼠则该系统的机能活动增强。这些与寒证、热证病人的结果类似。进一步,对寒证、热证动物用电刺激观察其反应,结果寒证大鼠电针后痛阈升高,电刺激时惊厥阈值升高,热证组两种阈值均降低。前者是中枢的抑制过程
In clinical observations, the sympathetic nerves of heat syndrome patients were found to have increased functional activity in the adrenal gland system, and vice versa. In animal experiments, rats fed with cold medicine for a long period of time may also experience sympathetic-adrenal system dysfunction, whereas rats fed with warm medicine have increased functional activity. These results are similar to those of cold and heat syndrome patients. Further, the response to electrical stimulation of cold syndrome and heat syndrome animals was observed. As a result, the threshold of pain was increased after electroacupuncture in rats with cold syndrome, and the threshold of convulsions was increased during electrical stimulation. Both thresholds in the heat syndrome group were decreased. The former is the central inhibitory process
