In this study, the method of paired design was used to detect the content of cadmium, calcium and β2-microglobulin (β2-MG) in blood and urine of the contact group and the control group, respectively, and the levels of urine N-acetyl-β-D-amino Glucosidase (NAG) activity and total protein content. The results showed that the content of urinary cadmium, calcium, β2-MG, total protein, NAG activity and blood cadmium in the exposure group were higher than those in the control group. The urinary NAG activity was positively correlated with the levels of cadmium, calcium, β2-MG and total protein in blood and urine, indicating that urinary NAG is one of the sensitive indicators for monitoring cadmium-induced renal damage.
